Meeting God through Christ:
Exploring Jesus Christ and Christianity
Jesus Christ, God's Son was crucified in weakness, raised to life again in power, and now sits at God's right hand in heaven. He will come again, and on that day all will bow before him, confessing him as Lord.
Jesus Christ is the meaning of history, and we at St. Mark's would be delighted to talk to you about Jesus, field your questions, and encourage you to take a step with Him.
To explore Jesus, please feel free to come along to one of our Sunday services, or phone our office to talk with one of our pastoral staff on 03 9882 3776.
Alternatively, http://www.christianity.net.au/ may have some useful information on the same topic.
Christ adds to his call to 'come' a marvellous promise of 'rest':
Jesus says: 'All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew's gospel 11:27-30)
Is today the day for you to come to Christ and find rest?
