9am Contemporary Family Service
God's people have always gathered as a community, to celebrate the goodness of God, to be instructed from his Word, and to pray to God to meet their needs and the needs of the world.
So at our 9am gathering, you and your family are most welcome to join us as we sing the praises of our great God and saviour, bring our lives under the light and power of God's word, and join in praying to the God of heaven to act in our world.
Our excellent musicians lead us in singing the best of contemporary choruses, as well as some stirring hymns. In our sermons, we seek to bring the word of God to bear on our lives today. This means we explain the Bible systematically, with a particular focus on applying it to our lives now.
On a fortnightly basis we share in the Lord's Supper together, remembering the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and "feeding on him in our hearts by faith".
We welcome people of all ages and stages, with a particular welcome to children and families.

In each service the children begin with their parents as we read the Bible, pray and sing together. After 10-15 minutes, our children then move to their own age-related activities in the parish-centre - we call it "Sunday Club".
Sunday Club for Kids:
For Infants we run Creche (in the Canterbury Room).
Our Pre-Schoolers have their “Sparklers” gathering in the Canterbury Room.
School children from Prep-Year 2 “Fireflies” meet upstairs in the parish centre.
School children from Year 3 - Year 6 “Stargazers” start their meeting in the hall,
and move to the ‘out house’ room in the church house on site.
Our secondary school aged youth currently stay with the adults in the main gathering of a morning. We then meet weekly on Sunday afternoons for "Marks@5" before the evening service.
At St Mark’s we value relationships, and that’s why we gather for morning tea after the service in the Parish Centre. Please join us there with your family (there is a small kids' playground which is accessed from our morning tea area).
Standing firmly on the Word of God in humility and obedience, and standing lovingly alongside each other in grace and friendship, we seek to grow more and more as fully devoted followers of Christ.
